General Questions
What is the lodging capacity, and what does the lodging fee cover?
Mountainside Orchard accommodates up to 30 overnight guests for a lodging fee of $2250 per night. This fee covers accommodations for registered overnight guests only and does not include wedding or event-related activities.
What is included in the base event fee for weddings or other events?
The base event fee is $3,500 for a 3–6 hour outdoor event. This includes access to the outdoor venue space but excludes lodging, cleaning, or additional rental services.
Is a deposit required to reserve the property for an event?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your event date and is applied toward your total event cost.
Event Services and Rentals
Are there additional fees for cleaning or renting equipment for the event?
Yes, the following additional fees apply:
- Cleaning Fee: $500 per event.
- Outdoor Chairs: $10 per chair.
- Outdoor Tables: $15 per table.
- Wedding Altar: $200 per rental.
- Speakers and Microphone: $150 per rental.
Can we host additional events like rehearsal dinners or post-wedding activities?
Yes, but these are considered separate events with distinct rules and fees. Please contact us for pricing and availability.
Capacity and Regulations
What is the maximum capacity for outdoor events?
The venue can accommodate:
- Up to 75 guests without a permit.
- Up to 150 guests with a city permit (to be obtained by the client from Bluffdale, Utah).
What are the parking options and associated fees?
Mountainside Orchard offers on-site parking for up to 30 vehicles. The parking fee is $25 per vehicle for 6 hours. We recommend carpooling or leasing a nearby parking lot and arranging shuttle services for larger events.
What are the noise restrictions for events?
All events must comply with local noise ordinances to maintain community standards.
Policies and Payments
Are deposits refundable if we cancel or change the event date?
No, all deposits are non-refundable, even in the case of cancellation or date changes. If you wish to change the date, a new deposit may be required.
What is the policy for decorations?
To protect the venue, nails, staples, and permanent adhesives are prohibited.
What happens if there is bad weather on the event day?
We encourage clients to have a backup plan for inclement weather. Refunds are not provided for weather-related cancellations.
Are we responsible for cleanup after the event?
Yes, clients are responsible for ensuring the venue is returned to its original condition. Additional cleaning fees may apply for excessive waste or damages.
